Lady Juanita H. Duncombe


A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Juanita H. Duncombe received her formal educational training by graduating from Booker T. Washington High School Montgomery, Alabama and her Baccalaureate Degree in Elementary Education/ Music and the Masters of Education Degree in Elementary Education and Administrative Certification from Alabama State University.


She has positively nurtured and influenced the lives of students by effectively serving as an Educator at Jeter Elementary School (Opelika City School System); Laurel Elementary and Jim Pearson Elementary Schools (Alexander City School System) Head Elementary and Dalraida Elementary Schools (Montgomery Public School System).  Upon her retirement she received highest commendations for services rendered for her sacrifices, commitment and dedication to the cause and purpose of Public School Education.  At present she serves as Lead Teacher at Central Alabama OIC Early Childhood Development Center Montgomery, Alabama. 


Juanita H. Duncombe is a God-fearing woman and exercises her faith under the auspices of the Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, Montgomery, Alabama where she is actively involved with varied Ministries and Auxiliaries, to include: Women’s Missionary Society; Sunday School; Bible Study Class; Cathedral Choir, Shekinah Glory Choir, Director of Little Angels Choir; Coordinator of Acolyte Ministry; Ladies In Faith Together (LIFT Ministry).  She also serves as the Connectional 2nd Vice-President of Connectional Ministers Spouses and Widows and Widowers Organization Plus PK’s (CONN-M-SWAWO+PK’S); 3rd Vice-President of the Alabama River Region Conference Women’s Missionary Society (WMS); and served 8 years as YPD Director of the Alabama Conference.


Mrs. Juanita H. Duncombe is a Life Member and Chaplain of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Member of Beta Nu Omega Chapter; Committee Chair of Thelma Glass-Bertha Underwood Financial Assistance Committee; Board Member Ivy Foundation of Montgomery, Alabama, Inc.; Financial Secretary of Agnes J. Lewis Federated Club and Assistant Secretary of the La Bronze Civic Club.


Juanita Delores Harris Duncombe is the wife of Reverend Dr. Farrell J. Duncombe and they are the proud parents of two children: United States Army Colonel Farrell J. Duncombe, II assigned to the Pentagon ;( Antoinette), and Ms. Djuana T. Wilson (Tracy), Retention Specialist Alabama State University; and they are the very proud grandparents of Farrell Jackson Duncombe, III, Loryn Nicole Duncombe and Trinity Delana Wilson
