Lady Judy Savage Williams 

 

Mrs. Judy Savage Williams is the wife of Rev. Kary Williams, Jr . She is a Member of James AME Church in Erie, PA.  Mrs. Williams has worked in all levels of the church.  In the past, she has served as local Church School Superintendent and  PME Director for the Missionary Society, Pittsburgh Conference Commission Chair for Family Life, Pittsburgh Conference Wilberforce Store Project Coordinator. In her tenure as First Lady, Judy has chaired; Church Anniversary Programs,  Woman’s Day Programs the guest speaker for Missionary Day Programs; Youth Choir Director, and has been willing to serve wherever needed. She also, organized and served as facilitator for the monthly Women of Wisdom (WOW) bible study. She is the founder and founding president of the interdenominational Erie Clergy Spouses Organization located in Erie, PA.  She has served  as the Asst Recording Secretary for the Pittsburgh Conference Women’s Missionary Society and the Pittsburgh Conference M-SWAWO+PK’s PK Advisor.

 

Mrs. Williams was elected  3rd Episcopal District M-SWAWO+PK’s President in Nov 2008 and re-elected in Nov 2012. She currently serves under the Episcopal leadership team of Bishop McKinley Young and Supervisor Dorothy Jackson Young.

 

Mrs. Williams 25 years of leadership experience and professional career at Wright Patterson Air Force, Base ended in April 2007 when she retired and relocated to the state of Pennsylvania to join her husband in support of his full time ministry. She received various awards for her achievements during her career in the financial management community.  Her most notable achievements was being awarded Financial Manager of the Year and awarded the Meritorious Outstanding Civilian Award.

 

 Judy is a graduate of Central State University, Wilberforce, OH with a BS in Business Education.  She holds her Master of Arts degree in Management from Antioch University McGregor, Yellow Springs, OH.

 

Judy is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, where she served as Vice-President in her local chapter.

 

Together she and Rev Williams have five adult children and six grandchildren.

 

Her favorite scripture is Psalm 136:1, O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever. Judy says...“May the work I've done speak for me.”
