Lady Chandra M. Phillips

 

Mrs. Phillips is the wife of Rev. Demetrese D. Phillips, and the mother of Demetrese D. Phillips II. She is a Member of Mary Springhill AME Church in Shreveport, LA.  Mrs. Phillips has worked in all levels of the church.  In the past, she has served a local YPD director, Member at Large for the Missionary Society. She has served as the Central North Louisiana Conference Member at Large.  She has served a Member at Large for the 8th District’s Missionary Society.  She is currently the treasurer for the 8th District’s Women’s Missionary Society. Mrs. Phillips has held the position of 8th District M-SWAWO+PK’s president for the past 3 years where she serves under the Episcopal leadership of Bishop Julius Harris McAllister Sr. and Supervisor Joan Marla McAllister.

 

Mrs. Phillips is a graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman, MS where she graduated with honors, receiving her B.A. degree in Political Science.  She received her Master’s in Business Administration from William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS.  Her Alternative Teacher Certification was obtained from Louisiana Tech in Ruston, LA.  Mrs. Phillips is currently pursuing a degree in Educational Leadership.  She is currently employed at Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport, LA as a Master Teacher for Caddo Parish Schools.
